Universal Studios integrieren iPhone Features in Blu-ray Discs

Während sicher ist, dass das Apple iPhone die Zukunft des Smartphones ist, ist es ebenfalls sicher, dass das Blu-ray Format zumindest momentan die Zukunft der multimedialen Unterhaltung ist. Die Filme auf Blu-ray werden immer günstiger und die Liste der Features steigt ständig. Universal Studios haben nun angekündigt, künftig auf ihren Blu-ray Discs auch Features für das iPhone zu integrieren. Den Anfang macht dabei der neuste Teil von The Fast and the Furious, dessen Blu-ray Funktionen unter anderem mit dem iPhone gesteuert werden können. Coole Sache, ich bin gespannt!

Powered by BD-Live, the 2-Disc Special Edition Blu-ray release of Fast & Furious will utilize this interactive technology tied to its “Virtual Car Garage” bonus feature. With iPhone or iPod touch in-hand, Blu-ray viewers can use their devices’ touch screens to control 360-degree views of the movie’s supercharged street-racers and instantly punch up exclusive technical specs for the film’s high-tech cars.
